1. Common information about enterprise
The factory was built and put into an operation in 1970 year. It is located in settlement Mirnoe Kalanchanskiy district Kherson region on Perekopska Street, 15.
The right on using the land by factory was confirmed by the government Act of permanent using.
The loyalty of rural, district and region administration and the authority of the enterprise will allow to produce the bringing of the reserved lands for growing raw materials.
The factory is in the distance:
100 km from the region center of Kherson city
15 km from the district center of the settlement of city type Kalanchak
12 km from the district center of the settlement of city type Chaplynka
0,6 km from the railhead Kalanchak
5 km from the highway Kherson is Simferopol.

Drainfields – 11, 8 hectares
Factory’s production durability is 6,0 million conventional jars (0,42 kilograms) of tinned food in year.
The main type of activity is issue of tinned food in wide assortment. There are technological lines at the plant for this:
- production of tomato paste power 160 tons in days on raw material
- production of tomato juice, by power 4200 l/h
- production of caviar from cheap restaurants
- production of sauces, catchups, mayonnaises and drinks
Factory produced next tinned food:
- tomato group (tomato paste, tomato juice, sauces, tomato puree, catchups)
- natural (canned, pickled cucumbers, cheap restaurants, tomatoes, egg-plants, pepper light-green)
- dinner (a kidney bean, pea in fat, tomato sauce)
- meat-vegetable (porridges with meat, fat)
- meat (braised meat, meat in own juice, pork spicy)
- fruit juices with pulp
- fruit compotes
- drinks of wild rose, hawthorn, pear
The factory can process 7 thousands tons, includes 6 thousands tons tomatoes for the season of the mass processing of vegetables and fruit.
Canned puree is processing by the chemical conservator from capacities by a capacity in 800 tons during the interseasonal period.
The main consumers of the factory’s production were sanatoriums and tourist bases of the Crimea coast, recreation areas of Kherson, Nikolayev, Odessa regions, wholesale bases and the processers of fish and meat products from Ukraine, Baltic States, line of Russian regions.
The enterprise insures by production, storages, auxiliary and administrative buildings entirely.
There are two artesian mining holes with drinking-water, which passed necessary laboratory researches and suitable certification.

Marketing research shows that the only factory in Kherson region producing canning products is the cannery “Chumak”. But its products are positioned like expansive and customers with average and high profit are the special purpose clientele.
Producing of the high-quality, but cheaper products is planning at the Kalanchak factory. Customers with average and law profit are the special purpose clientele.
This position on the market allows avoid a competition with the cannery “Chumak”.
Good situated of the enterprise allows realize products at the territory of the Autonomous Republic Crimea. The preliminary work about searching for new wholesale buyers was realized by the management department and the row of agreements about intentions was made (look an addition).
3. Priority directions of the factory’s development
There is a wide row of the technological lines for different canning products’ producing on the enterprise.
Decision about development of the next four directions was except in 2007-2008 years for the differentiation of risks and decrease in the operation costs.
1. Production of the tomato paste with maintenance of tomato basis 30% and more.
2. Overflow of drinkable with gas and iodine-treated without gas water.
3. Issue of powder-like products
4. Growing of viniculture, strawberry and garlic
Choice of these directions of development has some advantages:
1. Production of tomato paste:
- presence of the own shop-floors and equipment with the high productivity and a short term of its amortization.
- presence of row material’s base with increased seasonal cycle of the tomatoes’ growing, which means an expansion of season of the tomatoes’ processing from April till October inclusive.
- presence of more then considerable quantity of agricultural producers (especially of tomatoes) in a radius 100 km, and it allows minimize costs on the delivery and decrease purchase price on row material in connection with presence of the competition.
- presence of preliminary agreements on supplying with raw material.
- presence of agreements of intentions on realization of the produced products, namely supplying with tomato paste 30-33% and to other canning products. Tomato paste 30-33% is the main component for issuing of the fish can food at fish factories.
- absence of competitors of the production of tomato paste with maintenance of tomato basis 30 % and more.
2. Overflow of drinkable with gas and iodine-treated without gas water
- presence of two mining holes with an artesian drinking-water, passing the proper certification and research procedures.
- presence of experience of production of water at this plant
- presence of the documentation with the permission on the overflow of water at the factory
- presence of own shop-floors and two mining holes
- presence of exclusive right on introduction of technology on overflow of iodine-treated water and agreements on supplying to the technological line on the production of iodine-treated water
- presence of the celled agreement on delivery, editing and maintenance of equipment on an overflow of water with gas or without it
- high demand on drinkable and (in connection with the strained problem of iodine’s deficit) especially iodic water exactly in South part of Ukraine
- low prime price, and consequently a competition cost of drinking-water with or without gas due to the presence of own production base, own mining holes and production experience
- absence of competitors of the production of iodine-treated water.
Iodine-treated water is the most valuable product for the treatment and prophylaxis 36 diseases, including iodine’s deficit. A correct marketing policy will allow to provide preschool, school, medical establishments and all habitants of the Kherson, Nikolayev and Odessa regions with iodine-treated water within the framework of public policy of fight with iodine’s deficit in Ukraine.
3. Issue of powder-like products
- presence of the own shop-floors
- presence of preliminary agreement on delivery, editing and subsequent maintenance of technological line of powder-like products’ producing of YUVET 005 Kharkov LTD «The Ukrainian technological center» production;
- a purchase only of part of equipment for the issue of powder-like products is foreseen, as on Kalanchakskiy cannery there is an equipment on sorting, washing and preparation of raw material. Partial presence of own equipment on sorting, will allow washing and preparation of raw material to minimize expenses on the purchase of the powder-like setting and minimize the cost of the prepared products;
- presence of own raw material as walking away from processing of tomato-fruit group of agricultural products, as the newest technologies on the production of powder-like goods allow to process including and wastes of canning production;
- possibility of using substandard and lost the commodity type raw material (there are shallow, crushed, languid fruit and green-stuffs) minimizes his cost till about the cost of transport expenses, than yet more reduces the price of the prepared products;
- presence of own source of raw materials (vine, strawberry, a garlic - see further);
- presence of preliminary agreements about realization of products.
The issue of powder-like products is planned from fruit, green-stuffs and meat on settings of YUVET 005 productions of Kharkov LTD. «The Ukrainian technological center». Setting allows producing 6-10 kg of powder-like products in an hour. Because in this period of time at the market of rural-economic present as raw material bow, garlic, pumpkin, carrot, potato, the issue of powder-like products is foreseen from these green-stuffs. The market of users of powder-like products in Ukraine and Russia is very capacious. Users are enterprises producers of products of «Fast-food», child's food, bioactive additions, Cosmetology, pharmacy. On far incomplete expert estimations in Ukraine a requirement in powder-like products makes near 15 000 t/ies, if requirement in powders to count on conception «Health and longevity», much more amount.
It is planning the entering of Kalanchakskiy cannery into the association of powder-like industry of Ukraine, that will allow in the earliest possible dates to start the production of powders and in accordance with the government program «Health and longevity» to have the assured buyers of products.
The issue of powder of vine, having high demand for the producers of bioactive additions, Cosmetology, pharmacy is planned in the season of vintage and processing of him on juice and vine materials.
The presence of own agricultural production of garlic will allow to provide the production of powders like cheap (prime price) raw material and employment of setting in an offseason, because a garlic is included in the number of not many cultures, apt at the protracted storage without the loss of basic the consumer qualities. The presence of demand on powder from a garlic is conditioned his using for the production of all and singular seasonings, sauces, catchups, food additions, consumption at the production of ready-to-cook foods, and also enormous demand on garlicky powder is present from the side of perfume industry and, especially, pharmaceutical production.
4. Agricultural production
4.1. Growing of viniculture and strawberry
- Profitability of viniculture as an ordinary product of consumption is no less than 800%!!!
- a presence of own lot land as drain fields sewages is only 10 hectares (under a vine – 5 hectares), which was fertilized organic fertilizers more than 25 years;
- a presence of the North-eastern irrigator channel is in the direct closeness (direct demarcation);
- presence of own processing base for a production and storage of vine juice, vine materials, and also for powder-like products, meaning the prepared system of sale;
- at a work-load of a powder-like production constituent, work-load of capacities of storage, falling of demand on juice is a possibility of sale of vine, as an ordinary product of consumption
- compensation of all borne charges, related to creation of new vineyards from budgetary facilities of Ukraine after expiration of three years, in obedience to «Program of development of viticulture and vine making in Ukraine»;
- presence of preliminary agreement with a specialist in area of viticulture a scientific agriculturist Pavlovskim M.M. through question of practical and consultative accompaniment of project on production viniculture;
- presence of no waste technologies on processing of vine.
Landing of nursery transplants of vine is planned on area 5 hectares. The first planned harvest will be got the next year in an amount 7-10 tons from a hectare, I mean 35-50 tons (in prices 2007 years it is 300-350 thousands of Uah during realization as a product of consumption), on 3 the planned harvest will be made by 50 tons from a hectare. A garden strawberry which promotes the productivity of vine on 20% and will give a considerable additional profit will be planted between the rows.
4. Growing of garlic
- Profitability of garlic as an ordinary product of consumption is no less than 400%!!!
- a presence of own lot land as drain fields sewages is only 10 hectares (under a vine – 5 hectares), which was fertilized organic fertilizers more than 25 years;
- a presence of the North-eastern irrigator channel is in the direct closeness (direct demarcation);
- garlic – practically painless, little whimsical frost-hardy and thermostable culture with the high and stable productivity, I.e. minimum losses from climatic-weather influences;
- presence of own processing base for storage of garlic
- there is 100%-prepared system of sale in the process of powders’ production;
- possibility of garlic’s sale, as an ordinary product of consumption with stable demand and high cost of realization;
- presence of preliminary agreement with a specialist in area of viticulture a scientific agriculturist Pavlovskim M.M. through question of practical and consultative accompaniment of agricultural project;
- possibility of processing of garlic is in an offseason, I.e. at the deficit of other raw material;
- presence of no waste technologies on processing of garlic.
The use of iodine’s concentrateis planned for watering of vineyard and garlic, grown on own lot land, that will promote the productivity to 10- % and will allow to grow iodic products.
